In a powerful show of community spirit and generosity, the Murf Charity Golf Day raised an incredible $25,000 to support Steve, a beloved local husband and father, as he faces the biggest challenge of his life: a battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Hosted on the beautiful greens of Murwillumbah Golf Club, the event was more than just a day of friendly competition, it was a heartfelt rally to back one of our own. At just 44 years old, Steve is navigating the devastating realities of MND with unwavering courage, supported by his family and a community that refuses to stand by in silence.

The day was filled with great golf, laughter, and moving moments that reminded us of the strength found in unity. Thanks to the overwhelming support from attendees and brand partners, the funds raised will go directly toward easing the financial burden of Steve’s care and treatment.
To make the day even more exciting, we hosted a hole-in-one challenge on a Par 3. The prize? A Murf Electric Bike for anyone who aced the hole. Within the hour, we had a winner! Jamie scored his first-ever hole-in-one and rode off beaming with joy.
Brand Partners Who Made It All Possible
The event was supercharged by the incredible support of our brand partners, whose generosity brought the day to life with activations, giveaways, and $30,000 worth of prizes. Huge thanks to:
Balter Brewers, Travis Mathew Australia, Callaway Golf Australia, Ripit Grips, Tour Tee,
Mophie, Draft Surf, Kandui Villas, The Mad Hueys, Dometic,
Cheshire Cat Motel, Drummond Golf West Burleigh, Hard Fizz, SunBum
Your contributions turned a local charity event into something truly extraordinary.
A Cause That Matters
This day wasn’t just about golf. It was about Steve his story, his fight, and the urgent need for awareness and support for those living with MND. The funds raised are vital, but the message is even bigger: no one fights alone.
We are so grateful to every single person who showed up, donated, or shared Steve’s story. But the support doesn’t have to stop here. You can still make a difference by donating directly to Steve’s GoFundMe, helping his family navigate the difficult road ahead.
Together, we’re stronger. 💙
